The city of Concord will be enacting parking bans on Wednesday for certain streets while it removes snow from narrow roads and areas that obstruct drivers’ sight lines.

According to a General Services spokesperson, the city will begin the process on Village Street and Hanover Street and will be installing emergency “no-parking” signs on affected streets. According to an email, the signs will be posted the day before snow hauling begins. Violators will be subject to ticketing and towing.

Unlike the city’s other parking bans – which are typically in place from midnight to 7 a.m. – the emergency postings are in effect until the signs are removed. The signs are also in effect as soon as they are posted.

Crew hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Snow hauling efforts will continue through the end of the season.
