Letter: From the mouths of Democrats

“We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States. But those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law. We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants into this country.”

“The American people are fundamentally pro-legal immigration and anti-illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is wrong and a primary goal of comprehensive immigration reform must be to dramatically curtail future illegal immigration.”

“Because we do need to address the issue of immigration and the challenge we have of undocumented people in our country. We certainly do not want any more coming in.”

“At times you become so overtaxed you have to concentrate on saying, the people who should be here are those who come legally at this time. And we’ve got to enforce our borders.”

“I’ll tell you what we can’t have. . . . It’s these parents sending their kids here on a dangerous journey and putting their lives at risk.”

“We have to send a clear message just because your child gets across the border doesn’t mean your child gets to stay.”

These are not my words. They are the words, by paragraph, respectively, of: Barack Obama (2005), Chuck Schumer (2009), Nancy Pelosi (2008), Diane Feinstein (2007), Barack Obama (2014) and Hillary Clinton (2014).
