Every year on the Monday before Franklin High School’s graduation, the entire school district marches through downtown in a tradition called “Class Day Parade.” Each school in the district – from kindergarten to the high school – has students march from the high school to downtown and back.
“To the best of my knowledge, we are the only school district in the state of New Hampshire to have a Class Day Parade and I believe we might be one of the last ones in the nation,” said Franklin High School principal Carrie Charette, who has been in the district for the last 18 years.
