Letter: Walsh and Maltais for school board

Published: 10/28/2020 12:01:43 AM

We write in strong support of Pamela Walsh for the school board at-large seat and Allie Maltais for District B (Wards 5, 6, and 7).

As a parent and a member of the community, Walsh cares passionately about public education and ensuring quality schools that deliver value for taxpayers. She also will bring 20 years’ experience in communications, public policy, and administration that will both help the district meet its challenges and improve communications and trust with the community.

Maltais brings a lifetime of experience to the school board as a mother, health care professional, property-tax payer, and activist. She is committed to restoring accountability and community trust in the system. A member of the district’s Safety Task Force, she has worked to protect students. Sitting on the Family Support Council at Community Bridges, she understands budgets and hard choices. From a military family, Maltais has lived in diverse communities and is dedicated to educational equity and inclusive learning. Parenting a son with autism in the schools, she is focused on child development, services, and education.

Please cast your ballots for Pamela Walsh and Allie Maltais.
