A Pembroke man who had been missing for three weeks was found dead in the Merrimack River Thursday.
Hooksett Police were informed by Pembroke authorities Wednesday that the missing 24-year-old man could be in the river. New Hampshire Fish and Game was called in to assist and used underwater equipment and dive teams to locate the man, who was still in his vehicle under 24 feet of water, near the boat launch in Lambert Park behind Hooksett District Court.
The dive team entered the river Thursday morning and found the submerged vehicle with the man inside. An autopsy was planned for Friday. Police do not expect foul play was involved.
