Police in Bedford said a motorcyclist struck a guardrail on a road and died of his injuries.

The 23-year-old man crashed late Thursday near the intersection of Route 114, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

His name has not yet been released.

In another crash, near Hampton Beach, police said 32-year-old Michael Cook of Seabrook lost control of his motorcycle on Wednesday. Cook was taken to a hospital, where he died the next day.

The investigation determined that Cook was traveling north on Ocean Boulevard when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected. The motorcycle traveled another 100 yards before striking another vehicle and a fence to a residence, police said.

Law enforcement officials are still investigating the cause of both crashes.
