UNH’s Knight named FCS Player of the Year in New England

On Saturday, University of New Hampshire quarterback Trevor Knight helped the Wildcats reach the second round of the FCS Championship. On Sunday, Knight was named the FCS Player of the Year in New England.

The junior received the 2017 New England Football Writers Division I Season Gold Helmet Award and will be honored at the NEFW Captains and Awards banquet on Dec. 5 at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, Mass.

Knight is currently ranked 11th in the nation in passing yards (3,150) and 16th in touchdown passes (24) all while completing 63 percent of his passes through 12 games.
