Let Pessamit Innu speak on Northern Pass

I am writing in protest against the Northern Pass. Again we are faced with an oversized infrastructure project that will cost New Hampshire taxpayers millions of dollars with little to no benefit. The only thing it is going to do for New Hampshire is pad some corporations’ pockets with profits.

What really upsets me is that the Pessamit Innu tribesmen are driving down from Quebec, over 600 miles, and on Thursday will go before the N.H. Site Evaluation Committee with their grievances and are only being allowed two minutes to speak. This is completely unacceptable. This project is causing destruction to their land, their waters and their way of life, and they get two minutes.

We the people of New Hampshire have a right to hear what they have to say, and they deserve the right to express their grievances for as long as they need.

Please call the N.H. SEC and demand that the Pessamit tribesmen are allowed to speak for longer than 120 seconds. The number is 271-2435
