Former Concord High basketball players Cassidy Emerson and Deb Morrill each scored in double figures on Saturday to lead the Plymouth State University women’s basketball team to a 62-48 victory over Northern Vermont University-Lyndon.

Emerson recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes of court time, while Morrill recorded 12 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals in a full 40 minutes on the floor.

Junior Brittany Roche scored a game-high 17 points and hit four 3s to lead the Panthers.

Emerson and Morrill, both seniors and starting guards, have been crucial to Plymouth’s 4-0 record to open the season, the best start for the program in nearly a decade.

Dunbarton’s Lea Crompton, a former Bow High player and freshman for NVU-Lyndon (2-2), scored 11 points, including five points in a 9-0 run that gave the Hornets a 26-23 lead late in the first half.

The Panthers led 32-28 at halftime.
