A Pembroke man accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting two girls decades ago has been indicted by a Merrimack County grand jury.

Robert Pratt, 58, faces six counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault for a pattern of abuse against two girls between 1998 and 2004. The girls were under the age of 16 at the time, according to court records.

Pratt is facing similar charges in Hillsborough and Coos counties, where cases against him are still pending.

The state’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, New Hampshire State Police and Concord Police Department assisted Pembroke officers with executing an arrest warrant and search warrant at Pratt’s home this summer. Within days of his June 11 arrest in Pembroke, he was taken into custody in connection with allegations in two other jurisdictions.

New Hampshire State Police arrested Pratt on June 19, nine months after they received a call from a woman who reported that she had been sexually assaulted by him in the town of Dummer. Police did not say when the crimes are alleged to have occurred.

Pratt is also charged with molesting a girl in Nashua in 1997 and 1998.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on the Merrimack County charges Sept. 24 at 8:30 a.m.
