The village of Penacook lit its annual Christmas tree in Boudreau Square during a visit from Santa on Wednesday.

The Penacook Elementary School Chorus and Blanchard Family Singers were on hand to sing carols.

Previously scheduled for Nov. 30, the tree lighting was rescheduled due to severe weather and winds.
