Boys’ soccer

Division IV quarterfinals, 3 p.m.

No. 7 Pittsfield (10-5-2) at No. 2 Epping (13-2-1)

HEAD TO HEAD: The two teams did not meet in the regular season.

PREVIOUS TOURNAMENT GAMES: Pittsfield beat No. 10 Gorham, 3-1. Epping had a first-round bye.

NOTES: Pittsfield is 4-1-1 in its last six games, including the first-round win over Gorham. The Panthers got an early goal from Matt St. George in the playoff game and then two second-half goals from Cam Darrah, who looks more like his hard-charging self now that an early-season facial injury has had time to heal. Pittsfield keeper Gavin Knight stopped a penalty kick against Gorham, and he’ll need to be on his game again against an Epping team that’s lost just one game in the last six weeks and is scoring 3.25 goals per contest.
