The Literary Arts Guild of the New London Center for the Arts is accepting poems from local people for its sixth annual contest celebrating National Poetry Month.

The theme for the contest will be “Two.”

The deadline to submit an original, previously unpublished poem is Wednesday. Full submission guidelines can be found at centerfortheartsnh.org/literary-contests-and-events.html.

Three winners will be chosen from the adult category and one winner each from categories for high school, middle school and elementary school students.

Jennifer Millitello, the first winner of this poetry contest, will judge the entries.

Winners will be invited to present their work at the Center for the Arts’ First Friday Celebration on April 7 at the Newbury town offices.
