A section of Interstate 93 in Windham was temporarily closed Friday morning after police say a Laconia man swerved his pickup to avoid debris in the road, causing a collision with another vehicle.

Kenneth Belyea III, 41, of Laconia was driving south on I-93 shortly before 6 a.m. when he lost control of his 2015 GMC 2500, according to New Hampshire State Police. The pickup struck a 2013 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Jeffrey Lynch, 58, of Raymond who was taken by ambulance to Parkland Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

Lynch’s Chevrolet pickup was carrying an all-terrain vehicle, which was thrown into the roadway on impact, police said.

All southbound lanes in the area of the crash scene were closed for approximately 35 minutes.

Police ask anyone with information about the crash to contact Trooper Stefan Wong-Wagner at Stefan.Wong-Wagner@dos.nh.gov.
