Police responded to East Side Drive in Concord Thursday night after a man reported he was being robbed in the parking lot of the Regency Hill Estates apartment complex.

Sgt. Matt Casey said the individual reported another person was pointing a firearm at him in the parking lot of 12 East Side Drive at 6:45 p.m. Casey would not say what the individual was trying to steal.

When police arrived, both individuals had fled. Casey said it is believed that the people involved were known to each other.

“For that reason, we do not believe there is any reason for the public to panic,” he said.

The incident is under investigation. Police are still trying to identify everyone involved. There were likely more than two people involved, Casey said. Officials ask that anyone with information contact Concord Police.
