Submitting a Private Party Obituary

Thank you for submitting your obituary to the Concord Monitor, all private party submissions submitted after 1:30pm will be processed the next business day. Obits submitted on the weekend or a holiday will be processed the next business day. If you wish to have your obituary placed sooner please go through your local funeral home.

All private party obituaries must be prepaid prior to publication.

Welcome to our online obituary submission form. Most obituaries are sent to us by funeral homes, but we do accept submissions from families. Here are some guidelines to keep in mind:

1. You must be the executor of the deceased's estate, or someone designated by the executor. If you are not the executor or the person designated, their name and phone number must be provided.
2. You must provide the name and phone number of the funeral home or cremation service you are using so that we may call and confirm date of death.
3. You must provide your billing address and phone number.
4. All obituaries must be prepaid.

Obituaries start at only $179 for one day in print up to 200 words. $20 for each additional 30 words. Photo will incur extra lineage charges.

After your obituary is submitted please call the Concord Monitor at 603-224-5301 to submit your prepayment information. No obituaries will be placed until prepayment has been made. We have a 1:30pm deadline for the next days paper.
