Superintendent of SAU 24 Schools Jacqueline Coe, Ed.D, announced the appointment of Maureen Colby as an instructional coach working with teachers to enhance the quality of their lessons and improve student outcomes. Coaches also serve as partners, walking alongside teachers as they enhance their professional practice. The coaching team works within and supports the work of SAU 24’s Professional Learning Communities, and they are active members of the SAU Leadership Team.

Colby is an experienced educator who taught English at John Stark Regional High School for the past 20 years. She is a graduate of St. Michael’s College and holds a Master of Science in Education from the University of New England and an M.Ed. Leadership in Curriculum Administration from Southern NH University.

“I am most excited to partner with teachers to create student-centered learning experiences that are engaging, rigorous, and relevant,” commented Colby on her new position within SAU 24. “I love collaborating with educators to build a community where all learners feel capable, challenged, and cared for. I am also eager to continue serving the SAU 24 community, a place I have called home for the last two decades.”

Maureen Colby lives in Dunbarton with her husband, Matthew, and son, Stephen.
