After leading the Southern New Hampshire University baseball team to the Division II College World Series in 2018 and making it to the NCAA East Super Regionals in 2019, Bow’s Tom Blandini, a senior shortstop, is picking up where he left off, earning Northeast-10 Player of the Week honors.

Blandini hit 13-for-21 (.619) at the plate, including two home runs, eight RBI and seven runs scored. Blandini recorded multiple hits in all five games of a 5-0 week for the Penmen, including a trio of three-hit performances.

There’s plenty of other Capital Area talent on the Penmen this spring, including Tom’s younger brother, freshman Connor Blandini – the 2019 Monitor Baseball Player of the Season.

Also new to the team this year is Concord’s Griffin Gilbert, a sophomore pitcher who played for Fairleigh Dickinson as a freshman.

SNHU has a 5-3 record and will play at New York Tech in a four-game series this weekend.
