Nov. 1 marks the start of the 2025 open enrollment period in New Hampshire, an important time for Granite Staters to explore health insurance options that suit their families’ needs and budgets. Residents who select a plan by Dec. 15 will have coverage starting January 1, while those who enroll later can begin coverage on Feb. 1. Health insurance choices are among the most significant decisions we make. This year, Covering New Hampshire encourages all to review their plan options, even if they’re happy with current coverage. Plan prices and features change yearly, and shopping the marketplace could save money or offer improved benefits.

For 2025, new WellSense Clarity Plans are now available in five counties, joining offerings from Anthem, Ambetter, and Harvard Pilgrim at HealthCare.gov. The Foundation for Healthy Communities will also provide support for ACA, Medicaid, and CHIP enrollments through a new five-year grant. Medicaid Expansion has dramatically reduced New Hampshire’s uninsured rate, covering more than 100,000 residents. ACA enrollment has also grown, reaching 65,117 individuals in 2024, a 19.4% increase. Let’s use this open enrollment to secure essential healthcare for New Hampshire families.
