Letter: Sununu’s vetoes of SB 365 and 446 are not good policy

Two good-for-New Hampshire bills deserve to have their vetoes by the governor overridden on Thursday.

Senate Bill 446 supports the expansion of New Hampshire’s budding, modern solar energy industry, which is providing jobs, cleaner air (thus tourism and health) and more. SB 365 supports the use of clean, renewable N.H. resources for the generation of electric power, thus providing many long-term benefits.

Gov. Chris Sununu’s unfortunate vetoes of these bills reflect contributions to his campaign more than they reflect good policy for New Hampshire’s economy and its citizens. Please encourage your N.H. senators and representatives to vote “Yes” on Thursday to override these vetoes.
