Schools need a required class that will teach students how to thrive in the world on their own. The skills that adults need are not focused on in high school, but are important to know during college and for the rest of their lives. Some of these skills include how to budget, file taxes, pay bills, manage student loans, purchase insurance, etc.

Although there are classes offered with these subjects, the topics are often spread out among different electives. This is an easy way for students to miss important life skills that may not be explained properly by parents or advisers.

The information will give them an idea of what to do in the future. Some of these skills are important to know before graduation, like budgeting and paying bills. Other skills, like purchasing insurance and building credit, will be handy to know about when the time comes.

The bottom line is that everyone needs to know these things no matter where they go in life. Schools just need to help their students out.
