Letter: Vote Moffett in November

I’d like to thank the voters of Canterbury and Loudon for allowing me to serve as their state representative for the past two years. I humbly ask for their votes on Nov. 6 so that I might continue to serve.

As a former civics teacher, I have a special reverence for our historic citizen Legislature, which is admired around the world as a unique example of representative democracy.

I’ve tried to provide a helpful voice on the Education Committee and am proud of the legislation we’ve sought to move forward. I’m also proud to have maintained a 100 percent attendance record for every House roll call vote, and constituents know they can count on responsiveness whenever they contact me.

I’ve sought to promote good communication and mutual respect during my tenure at the State House and was pleased to help establish the Legislative Softball Classic – bringing together Republicans and Democrats to raise almost $25,000 for the homeless.

Should voters elect to return me to Concord they can count on continued conscientious constituent service. And the Democrats can look forward to again seeing the softball pitcher that they got so many hits off of in the last Softball Classic.
