UNH men’s hockey earns 1-0 win over Vermont

Patrick Grasso scored 4:07 into the game, and Mike Robinson made 29 saves to assure it held up as the game-winner in a 1-0 victory for the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team over Vermont in Burlington, Vt.

Marcus Vela and Brendan van Riemsdyk assisted on the game’s only goal as UNH improved to 11-9-8 overall and 7-6-5 in Hockey East play.

Robinson stopped Max Kaufman on a penalty shot in the third period to keep Vermont (11-14-2, 4-11-2) off the board. It was the fourth shutout of the season for the sophomore from Bedford.

Stefanos Lekkas made 26 saves for Vermont, which hosts UNH again on Saturday at 7 p.m.
