No. 6 UNH men’s soccer loses first game of season in America East championship

Yvnes Borie scored the game-winning goal for the University of Vermont Catamounts as the No. 6 nationally-ranked a University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team fell to Vermont,1-0, in the America East Finals on Sunday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.  

The Wildcats are now 16-1-2, while the Catamounts improve to 13-4-2 and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  

The Wildcats now await the results of the NCAA Selection Show, which will be on Monday at 1 p.m. on NCAA.com to determine the date and opponent for UNH’s first tournament match. The Wildcats are making its fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
