Police: Vehicle traveling 105 mph on I-93 in Canterbury

Man reached 105 mph on I-93 before arrest

New Hampshire State Police arrested a driver and two passengers after police aircraft clocked a vehicle traveling at 105 mph Tuesday morning on Interstate 93 in Canterbury.

A trooper paroling the state highway stopped the 1994 Saturn and arrested the driver, William Butterworth Jr.

Butterworth, 33, of Pittsfield is charged with reckless operation, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Concord's district court Dec. 22.

Also in the vehicle was Tyler Hoyt, 33, of Northfield and David Austin, 21, of Loudon, police said.

Hoyt was taken into custody on multiple warrants, including one charging him with violating his parole. Austin was arrested and charged with possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. He will also be arraigned in December.
