Head of state administrative services to step down

Monday, April 24, 2017

Republican Gov. Chris Sununu will have an opportunity to appoint another state commissioner after Vicki Quiram announced she is stepping down as head of administrative services.

The department oversees payroll, retiree health plans and state facilities. Quiram, of Bedford, said in a letter to Sununu last Friday that she has accepted a job on the West Coast.

"Commissioner Quiram has been an incredible asset to the State of New Hampshire. Her leadership, attention to detail and operational expertise will be sorely missed but we are grateful for her service and wish her the very best,” Sununu said in a statement.

The department is overseeing the state house transition away from Concord Steam and is also working with the Legislature to keep the state’s retiree heath benefit plan solvent.

It’s not clear when Sununu will name a replacement. Quiram has led the department since 2015 and previously worked at the state’s Department of Environmental Services.
