Letter: Asking for your vote for representative of Ward 8

Published: 8/11/2018 7:23:02 PM

With your support, I hope to serve as your next state representative for Ward 8 in Concord.

The people of Ward 8 deserve a champion at the State House, and I am running to work tirelessly on their behalf, from fighting for seniors struggling with property taxes, to helping working families get ahead and stay ahead, to ensuring everyone has economic opportunity and a chance to succeed.

Working together, I will help advance public education and job skills training, school and community safety, affordable health care that includes tackling the opioid crisis and equal opportunity for everyone.

With my background as an 11-year resident of Ward 8, working as the vice chair of the Head Start Policy Council, having earned a degree in business administration, and serving on the board of the Community Action Program, I know what the people of Ward 8 are going through and how we can fight for Ward 8.

The day that I became a United States citizen is one of the proudest days of my life, having fled oppression and violence to arrive in a state and a country that truly values freedom and opportunity.

That’s why I respectfully ask for your vote the Democratic primary on Sept. 11. In the meantime, please feel free to call me with any questions, input or issues of concern at 333-0594. Thanks for considering supporting this campaign.
