Firefighters use Jaws of Life after car hits tree in Weare

Members of the Weare Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate a woman from a one-car crash in Weare on Saturday.

First responders found the vehicle had struck a tree and pinned the driver inside.

The woman was “seriously injured” in the crash reported near 1429 River Road about 3:20 p.m., according to a press release from Weare fire Chief Robert Vezina.

She was treated by members of the fire department on scene and airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
