A Weare man was arrested over the weekend after he was discovered driving at more than double the 35-mile-per hour speed limit while drunk, Hooksett police said.

Hooksett police charged Robert Blow, 22, of Weare, with aggravated DWI, possession and transportation of a controlled drug, reckless driving and having an open container in the vehicle.

Blow was pulled over for driving 88 mph on Hooksett Road around 2:17 a.m. on Saturday. Blow was arrested after failing field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer test revealed a blood-alcohol level of .12 – which is over the legal limit of .08 – police said.

Police said they found several open containers of Twisted Tea and some marijuana in the vehicle.

Blow was released on $5,000.00 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 1.
