The 253rd pick of the 2017 NFL Draft came and went and not a single University of New Hampshire football player came off the board.

That, however, didn’t signal the end of a dream.

Former UNH left tackle and Concord native Andrew Lauderdale signed on with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent on Saturday night. And it only got better from there for the Wildcats as running back Dalton Crossan agreed to a deal with the Indianapolis Colts.

The last player from New Hampshire to be selected in the draft was Jared Smith, who was taken No. 241 overall by the Seattle Seahawks in 2013.
