Families in Transition-New Horizons (FIT-N.H.) a homeless service provider with locations in Concord, Manchester, Dover, and Wolfeboro, is hosting its Seventh Annual Wicked FIT Run on Oct. 27 at 9:30 a.m. at Rollins Park in Concord. The race is a family-friendly, costume-themed, certified 5K dedicated to “chasing away homelessness.” Funds raised will provide a home and hope to homeless families and individuals.

“Each year we have over 600 runners and walkers,” said Maureen Beauregard, president of FIT-N.H. “It really is a great way for the community to come together to support our efforts of providing a home and social services to homeless families and individuals, including right here in Concord. It’s a great way to build comradery amongst work teams, families, and exercise, school and religious groups.”

Wicked FIT Run participants are encouraged to create teams and dress in costume. Prizes will be awarded in several costume categories, as well as race finish times.

The cost to register before the event is $20 for adults over 20, $15 for individuals ages 11 to 19, and free for kids younger than 10. Registration will be available the day of the race for an additional $5. To register before the event, visit fitnh.org/wickedfitrun.
