Derry Robert Frost Farm opens for season

The Robert Frost Farm kicks off its 11th year of the Hyla Brook Reading Series today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with featured poet Nausheen Eusuf and Hyla Brook poet Anne Janai.

Eusuf is a PhD candidate in English at Boston University, and a graduate of the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins. Her poetry has appeared in The American Scholar, Poetry Daily, PN Review, Salmagundi, World Literature Today, and Best American Poetry. Her first full-length collection Not Elegy, But Eros was published by NYQ Books and Bengal Lights Books.

Janai is a Montessori educator and consults families managing intelligent high-functioning autism in adults. She received her master’s in psychology from Harvard University and her bachelor’s in human development and family studies from the University of Utah. Her poems have been published by The Poet’s Touchstone, Awakenings Journal, Snapdragon: A Journal of Art and Healing, Westward Quarterly and The Society of Classical Poets Journal.

The event launches this year’s series of nationally acclaimed poets reading in the intimate setting of Robert Frost’s barn.

The series, held in the Frost Farm located at 122 Rockingham Road (Route 28), is free and open to the public. An open mic follows the readings and all audience members are invited to share their work.
