Pembroke Genealogy Expert Erin Moulton

The Pembroke Historical Society in conjunction with the Pembroke Town Library will sponsor a presentation by Professional Genealogist Erin E. Moulton on Sept. 7. The topic of her discussion will be “History and Mystery: a Genealogy Starter Guide.” The event will take place in the Library at 313 Pembroke Street at 7 p.m. Genealogy is the exploration of ancestral lines, which can be accomplished through researching public records and other available resources and artifacts. Join in to learn about how Moulton explores useful methods for research planning through the case study of Elsie Gaskin (an eccentric librarian from New Hampshire.) This example of how genealogical work is done is intended to facilitate better individual research into a family’s history. The event is free and open to the public. This program and others in the series are underwritten by the NH Humanities Council, with the support of the National Council on the Humanities. For more information, call 603-566-1031.
