After the recent public hearing on the middle school project, where the Concord community voiced their opinions on the selected sites for rebuilding the middle school, the school district is holding a work session.

This meeting on Tuesday will take place at the school administrative office, located at 38 Liberty Street, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

At the work session, the architects will present revised options for each location and address the several concerns raised during the public hearings. They’ll also present a ranking of each site against the objective site goals, providing the board with a framework for their decisions.

Some of the issues raised during the public hearing in September were traffic congestion, the proximity to downtown and the potential impact on conservation efforts.

The majority of Concord residents who spoke at the last public hearing expressed a preference for rebuilding the middle school at its current location on South Street, rather than at the alternative location on South Curtisville Road, near Broken Ground School.
