Nicole Packard was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass. She is a senior chemical engineering major.

Briana Walsh was named to the dean’s list at Johnson State College in Johnson, Vt. She is a senior.

Xyelle Lewis graduated from Colby Sawyer College in New London with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Kodey Converse was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass. He is a sophomore computer science major.

Bow

Kathryn Barry, daughter of Robert and Sandra Barry of Bow, was awarded a doctoral degree in law from Duke Law School in Durham, N.C. She will be working for the law firm of King and Spaulding in New York, N.Y., in the Special Matters Division.

Suzanne Barry, daughter of Robert and Sandra Barry of Bow, graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing with highest distinction from Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind. She will be working at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, La., in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.

Kylie Iasillo, daughter of Donald and Andrea Iasillo, graduated magna cum laude from The University of Tampa in Tampa, Fla., with a bachelor’s degree in allied health.

Megan Patricia Fraser earned a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College in New London, Conn. She is a international relations major.

David Cummings was named to the president’s list at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C. He is a recreation and sport management major.

Dina Tischofer graduated from Colby Sawyer College in New London with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Jonathan Patch, son of Donna and Douglas Patch, graduated from Suffolk University in Boston with a bachelor’s degree in legal studies.

Concord

Connor Crutchfield, son of Timothy and Heather Crutchfield, received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.

Sheila Morris was awarded the Thanks Badge during the Girl Scouts’ Annual Celebration and Luncheon held at Camp Farnsworth in Thetford, Vt. The Thanks Badge is the highest honor a Girl Scout volunteer can receive, recognizing adult volunteers whose efforts have benefited their entire council. Morris has served as a volunteer support coordinator for the Concord region for the past decade, supporting over 500 volunteers. Working as both a troop leader for a council-wide travel group and community product sales coordinator, Morris has impacted the lives of thousands of girls and adults over the years.

Rene Maher graduated from Colby Sawyer College in New London with a bachelor of science in business administration.

Det. Chris DeAngelis was recognized as police officer of the year by the Concord Police Department. He joined the city’s force in 1999.

Loretta Emerson was recognized as civilian employee of the year by the Concord Police Department. She joined as a complaint clerk in 1985 and is currently a fiscal technician.

Tina Smith, Nancy Mellitt and Emily Rice received Citizen Letters of Appreciation from the Concord Police Department for their efforts.

Officers Dana Dexter, Thomas Sheveland, Benjamin Mitchell, Jason Garragan, Daniel While, Cassandra Brown, Michael Adam, Christian Lovejoy, Jennifer Carew, Scott Fanjoy, Joseph Russell, Thomas Yerkes and Carl Notarangeli; Sgts. Barrett Moulton and Ranee Boyd; Dets. Joseph Chaput, Robert Buelte, Matthew Casey, Brian Womersley, Bryan Croft, Andrew Pellecchia, Wade Brown, Michael Cassidy, Julie Curtin, Nicole Murray and Chris DeAngelis; and State Trooper Kevin LeBlanc received Commendations for various efforts to protect life and successfully investigate cases by the Concord Police Department.

Blaine Ayotte was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma national athlete honor society. He is a senior physics and mathematics major.

Capt. Richard Wester earned the Coast Guard’s Distinguished American Award. Wester serves in Coast Guard Sector Roads in Virgina, Maryland and North Carolina.

Gary Samson was nominated by Gov. Chris Sununu and confirmed by the Executive Council as the next New Hampshire Artist Laureate. He is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker.

Eleanor Holland was inducted into the Pi Sigma Tau international philosophy honor society at St. Lawrence University. She is a sophomore environmental science and philosophy major.
