Like all communities, Salsibury is wrestling with the collapse of the business model for recycling and the effect this is having on budgets and recycling practices in town.

On Wednesday, a discussion on recycling will be held at the select board meeting at 5:30 p.m., upstairs at Academy Hall. Michael Durfor, executive director of the Northeast Resource Recovery Association, the industry group for recycling, will be on hand to talk and answer questions.

“If you are interested in the future of recycling you are urged to attend this special meeting during this selectmen’s meeting,” the press release noted.
