Highlights:  Golden won with a combined time of 57.47 seconds from two giant slalom runs at Gunstock as Concord tied for second in a six-team meet.

Girls’ Alpine Skiing

Key players: Concord – Mika Taylor (2nd), Charlotte Summerlin (9th), Emma Pelletier (11th), Lilly Merrill (12th)

Highlights:  Taylor had a combined time of 1 minute, 0.15 seconds from her two giant slalom runs as the Crimson Tide won a seven-team meet at Gunstock. Bishop Guertin’s Elena Ellia won with a combined time of 57.30 seconds.

Boys’ Basketball

Kearsarge 48, Monadnock 31

Key players: Kearsarge – Noah Whipple (27 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals), Drew Huff (7 points, 6 rebounds), Ajay Tremblay (6 points, 3 assists), Eli Whipple (5 points)

Highlights:  The Cougars picked up a win on the road against a scrappy Huskies team. Kearsarge trailed 19-17 at halftime, but made some defensive adjustments and outscored Monadnock 21-6 in the third quarter thanks to several buckets in transition.

Franklin 57, Sunapee 22

Key players: Franklin – Zeke McCoy (25 points), Nathan Holmes (6 points), Jack Van Polen (5 points), Harrison Kaplan (5 points)

Highlights: The Tornadoes led 29-16 at halftime and outscored the Lakers 28-6 in the second half, allowing just two points in the fourth quarter.

Highlights: The shorthanded Hawks jumped out to a 16-4 lead after the first quarter and led 28-10 at the half in a win on Wednesday night.
