Highlights: The Hawks took a five point lead into halftime before a strong defensive fourth quarter and key 3-pointers by the Cougars forced overtime. The Hawks got strong rebounding and hit key shots in OT to secure their second victory over Kearsarge this season.

Highlights: The Generals opened the game with a 20-0 run and maintained the lead for the entire 32 minutes.

Highlights: The Hawks held on to win a game that was tightly contested from start to finish. Hopkinton has won three straight.

Highlights:  Smith played a strong two-way game and made smart decisions offensively to help propel the Falcons to a narrow victory.

Highlights: Stark kept it close, trailing 9-6, at the end of the first quarter, but Kennett pulled away in the second.

Highlights: After a tight first quarter, the Pride used a strong 22-7 run in the second quarter to pull away.

Key players: Kearsarge – Braden Hurley (1st giant slalom, 7th slalom), Alex Spinney (2nd slalom), Sam Mann (3rd GS, 6th slalom), Tobin Wyman (6th GS, 8th slalom), Caiden McKenna (7th GS);  Belmont – Mathias Krauchunas (11th slalom, 14th GS), Landon Bormes (21st slalom, 40th GS), Ryan Cribbie (19th GS, 23rd slalom), Henry Ashworth (34th slalom, 39th GS)

Highlights: The Cougars won an eight-team meet at Gunstock on Friday. Hurley won the GS with a combined time of 58.16 seconds, ahead of runner-up Peter Latsinik of St. Thomas (59.45 seconds). Gilford’s Bode McLean won the slalom 25.82 seconds, while Spinney finished in 28.12 seconds as the runner-up.

Highlights:  The Falcons won a season-opening seven-team slalom race on Friday at Crotched Mountain.

Key players: Belmont – Ella Stevens (1st slalom in 29.29 seconds, 1st giant slalom in 59.72 seconds), Riley Degange (15th slalom, 23rd GS), Cate McDonald (22nd slalom, 25th GS), Meg Soucie (20th GS, 28th slalom); Kearsarge – Natalie Sherman (17th slalom, 17th GS), Savana Caswell (19th GS, 21st slalom) 

Highlights:  Freshman Stevens had the fastest slalom run of the day and the fastest combined time of two GS runs to sweep the races in a seven-team meet at Gunstock on Friday. Stevens is undefeated in the GS through two meets.

Bow 3rd

Highlights:  The Falcons finished third out of seven teams in a season-opening slalom race at Crotched Mountain on Friday.

Boys’ Nordic Skiing

Highlights: Kearsarge and Concord finished in the middle of the pack in a season-opening race hosted by Keene. Fall Mountain’s David Northcott (3:10.6) bested Ayotte by 0.4 seconds on a shortended course.

Highlights: Hosts Keene topped a season-opening nine-team race that included Concord and Kearsarge. Lebanon’s Ollie Hanna won in 3:54.2.
