An early-morning crash involving two tractor-trailers Thursday sent a driver to the hospital and snarled morning traffic on Interstate 95 just north of Hampton Falls.

State police said a tractor-trailer driven by William Davis, 49, drifted into the northbound breakdown lane and struck another tractor-trailer parked in the breakdown lane. Davis was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The other driver, Maxo Louis, was not injured.

Police said they expected that two lanes of I-95 northbound would remain closed until about noon while crews worked to clean up the scene.
