While watching the State of the Union speech, I was struck by the demeanor of Democrats. They looked like it was a funeral, their funeral perhaps. Now I was always told Democrats were for the poor and working people, but the good news that 2.4 million new jobs Donald Trump created in just 12 months, the lowest unemployment rate in many years, lowest unemployment for black people ever, seemed to hit like flatulence in church.
If their party had been able to achieve a fraction of this success in the former eight years, they would have been dancing in the aisles of the House. The bitter resentment smacked of spoiled brats who didnโt get their way. I donโt care if youโre a Republican, Democrat, independent or whatever โ this has to speak volumes of what the values of the Democratic leadership are. They are not for the American people or nation. Their programs failed over the Obama years and in one year Trump succeeded. What more is there to say except the president is far from done.
To be clear, voting Democratic here in 2018 is a vote to return to the policies of division, economic stagnation, high unemployment and recession. Does support of Democratic leadershipโs hatred of Trump seem worth that trade off?
There is an old military adage, โreinforce success.โ We here in New Hampshire can reinforce success by sending a true constitutional conservative to Congress from District 1. Eddie Edwards for Congress. Look him up folks, youโll be impressed and pleased.
