Letter: Rotten to the core
Re “Locke case judge: Try to appeal” (Monitor front page, Jan. 5):
This criminal justice system of ours is rotten to the core. Jamie Locke was a first-time felon, and the victim in this case testified that he could have accidently fallen into the river himself. There was no evidence whatsoever submitted to prove Locke was guilty of anything but simple assault, if that, but it took a jury of 12 morons to say otherwise. Guess you have to have money and fame to get any justice these days, especially in New Hampshire.
