Concord police investigate report of armed robbery on South Street

The Concord police are investigating a report of an armed robbery at about 8:30 last night.

According to a press release, the victim was walking on South Street near the South Street Market when a skinny white man about 6 feet tall approached, wearing a skull bandana over his face, gloves, a dark hoodie and dark pants.

“The suspect asked the victim for a cigarette,” the police said. “The suspect then pulled out a black handgun and took money from the victim’s wallet as well as his cell phone. The suspect then fled the area on foot heading easterly on Thorndike Street.”
