Representatives Notter, Vose, Harrington, Aldrich and Osborne, in a letter to the editor in today’s Monitor (April 9), I learned of your sponsorship of HB 373 prohibiting our department of environmental services from planning for, or even discussing, lowering carbon fuel emissions. My jaw dropped to the floor. This comes from the Science, Technology and Energy Committee?
Tell me please, what version of science does this represent? Carbon emissions are placing our planet, and with it our children and grandchildren, in deep jeopardy and you want our government to do nothing about it? Not even talk about it? This is one of the most irresponsible proposals I’ve ever seen come out of the NH legislature. I strongly urge you to withdraw your sponsorship of this bill before you embarrass the State of New Hampshire any further.
