Why doesn’t President Biden use the Defense Production Act or other executive powers to see to it that potential truck drivers are attracted by generous pay and working conditions so containers don’t pile up at ports?

He could do the same to inspire industry and retail to re-think their “just-in-time” delivery scheme and to keep a buffer of needed supplies on hand.
