Highlights: The Bears came out with full-court pressure to take a 35-15 halftime lead.

Key players: Hopkinton – Elise Miner (14 points, defense), Sierra Stone (10 points, rebounding), Hannah Pecce (8 points); H-D – Emily Howell (9 points), Morgan Dean (9 points)

Highlights: The Hawks jumped out early behind Miner and Stone combining for 12 first-quarter points, and Hopkinton maintained control from there.

Bishop Brady 25

Key players: Bishop Brady – Payton Bryson (5 points, 7 steals), Mia Wagner (5 points)

Highlights: The Giants led 9-6 after the first quarter and played well, but the Knights pulled ahead in the second half to hand Brady the loss in its season-opener.

Key players: John Stark – Avery Geaumont (12 points), Eleanor Girardet (12 points, 10 rebounds), Abigail Duclos (9 points, 5 assists), Izabel Korbet (7 points), Emma Dobbins (7 points, 11 rebounds)

Highlights:  Stark moved the ball around well – dishing out 17 assists as a team – and jumped out to a 19-2 lead after the first quarter and a 41-7 lead at halftime.

Highlights: The Spartans fell in their home-opener to the powerhouse Marauders.

Concord 53, Keene 52

Key players: Concord – Tyler Clark Toy (20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals, 9-for-9 FT), Anthony Brock (21 points, 3-for-3 FT), Max Leahy (6 points, 5 rebounds), Brett Tuttle (6 points)

Highlights: Tuttle drained a 3 – his only field goal of the night – with three seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to secure the Tide’s first victory of the season on the road against the Blackbirds. Keene led 18-9 after the first quarter and 23-16 at halftime, but Concord cut its deficit to 38-35 after trailing by as many as 16 points in the third quarter.
