We, in this state, are usually not dependent on a short supply of water unlike many other people. Yet we need to be conscious of the changing distribution of water worldwide and how fortunate we are here. My concern is that we use more water than we have to. For instance, taking a shower every day. Of course there are those who work in sweaty, dirty or smelly jobs. Iโm not talking to them. The people who need a shower to wake up or to feel refreshed, in my estimation are selfish (without realizing it).
Washing hair in the shower every day is also bad for rinsing away natural oils, including those on your body. I am pointing to mainly girls, women and mothers who need to bathe their little ones every day. There are definitely ways to clean yourself without using all that water every day. What about washing yourself or others at the sink with a wash cloth? Everyone needs to change their habits to help save our planets for our descendants. Of course there are many other ways to conserve water. There are many ways we can conserve most things that are thrown away without recycling, re-purposing, reusing. I may seem overbearing with suggestion but we need to change many of our habits.
