When the Supreme Court decision striking down Roe v. Wade was announced, I was furious. The decision was a terrifying one for women living in those states where abortions became illegal instantly. And it would be a mistake to think that because the restrictions in NH currently start at 24 weeks, many women are safe.
Certain Republican politicians won’t stop until abortion is outlawed in all 50 states. Sen. Maggie Hassan is fighting against a collection of far-right extremists each of whom who will be a green light for Mitch McConnell and a national abortion ban. Sen. Hassan is the only person running who has consistently and emphatically protected women’s rights and she is the only senatorial candidate we can rely on to protect the right to an abortion in Congress.
