A man has to eat, to feed his family, to have a life. This political season we are mired in high inflation with food and fuel costs breaking us down. I get it, what is not to be peeved about? These cycles of economic pain, whether inflationary or pertaining to a weak job market are always going to occur. This is the nature of capitalism and the imperfect system we live in. I am hearing all about the Republican advantage in the midterms and how they will benefit from our inflation woes. Pundits suggest the people prefer a Republican to a Democrat to “fix” our problems that have been caused by a Democratic president. It’s all bunk folks!

Republicans don’t fix, they tear down. They burn books, they take away women’s right to make their own health care decisions, and give awesome tax breaks to the wealthiest. Democrats truly have their own problems, as in following the Trump script for foreign policy, terrible messaging, and geriatric leadership denying they are at least a piece of the problem of their party. So what to do? I’m an independent in that the Democrats are only a wee bit better as a party, but actually a lot more loyal to our government and pursuit of democracy. It’s a no-brainer folks. Fascism is on its way and if you want it sooner than later watch what happens if the Republicans win big in the midterms.
