Have you noticed bare shelves or inconsistent inventory availability at your local grocery store? It’s not just you.

Big grocery chains and local independent grocers have had to deal with supply and labor issues that can lead to bare shelves.

Janetos Market in Dover, for example, has been working hard to source products from multiple vendors as a way to mitigate the effects of nationwide shortages.

“It’s been a nightmare for us at times,” said Palak Patel, owner of Janetos Market. “We are small, so we are limited in what we carry already. These shortages make it very hard to keep up with inventory.”
