In the last 10 years of singing with the Suncook Valley Chorale, the 65-voice chorale has seen a reduction in male voices. Women have now joined the men singing baritone and tenor. The SVC is beginning its 36th year of performing in Concord, and we need male voices. Our director of 18 years, Scott Lounsbury, is the Bill Belichick of chorale conductors. He continually takes 65 average vocalists and produces a beautiful harmonic sound that wows audiences. Standing ovations at intermission as well as the end of the performance are not uncommon. The SVC is Concordโ€™s best-kept secret.

So come on, men. I know you are out there wanting to sing with a group that has fun and sings for joy. We are a non-audition group. An open sing will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m in the Concord High band room, where you will audition us. The open sing is free and requires no commitment. Our winter concert will be based on โ€œRoyalty: The Music of Kings, Queens and Rock Royalty.โ€ Check out our website at SVCNH.org or contact me at pavegliopv@comcast.net with questions.
